Film festivals are events organised by government, Non- profit organizations, arts associations or film societies. They provide an opportunity for emerging filmmakers to get their films in front of an audience and have their film reviewed and judged by professional film critics and award winning filmmakers.
Some film festivals focus on specific filmmakers, genre of film i.e horror films or other subject matter that the festival is interested in curating. Always check out for film festivals with these specifications it increases your chances of getting your film accepted. I will explain further on this as we progress in this series.
