African Smartphone International Film Festival

The African Smartphone International Film Festival (ASIFF) is Africa’s first and most prestigious mobile film festival. Established in 2017, ASIFF redefines access to filmmaking by celebrating bold, diverse stories shot on smartphones, tablets, and digital devices. The festival champions innovation, inclusion, and storytelling from across Africa and the diaspora.

As Programming Manager, I curated the festival’s official selection, managed the submission and screening process, coordinated with jurors, and supported overall festival planning. I also contributed to marketing, partnership outreach, and post-festival distribution support for selected films.
